History - Priderun Cavaliers

All of my dogs are always owner handled as I feel that they are most confident and at ease with their owner's presence in the ring. Besides, we have so much fun working together and take so much pride in winning together!

All breeding stock is current on all health clearances and are repeated annually. They are registered with the AKC as well as the CKCSCUSA. Emphasis is placed on breeding healthy beautiful dogs that conform as closely to the standard as possible. I am a charter member of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club of Central Oklahoma and also a member of the CKCSCUSA.

I am very fortunate to have been entrusted with some very special dogs from a few breeders both here and abroad. Their mentoring has helped me get started and their continued support has guided me along the way. I love to talk about my dogs and cavaliers in general and welcome any opportunity to do so. I had longed for a small dog to love, but I wanted a dog with a sweet, gentle disposition that would also be good with my children. One evening while watching television I stopped channel surfing to watch a dog show that was on. And there I saw my first cavalier and I knew I had to know more about them. After researching the breed extensively through reading, online searching, and going to a few shows to observe, I fell in love with the breed. After many months of searching, I was able to acquire my first cavalier.

Not knowing anything at all about showing, but wanting to learn, I began attending training classes. I was able to meet a few experienced people who helped me gain the skills I needed to enter my new boy in his first shows and get us started. I was amazed at how much fun we were having together and that we were actually getting pretty good at it. My boy, Max, became my first champion in AKC and I have been hooked ever since! My kennel has grown since and my hopes are to continue to exhibit and breed beautiful cavaliers.
